The California Handgun Roster, only controls what firearms can be sold new to the general public.

If you had purchased firearm prior to the roster or you purchased through a licensed dealer via a private party transfer. The firearm can be put on your permit.

All firearms listed on your permit, must be registered to you or your spouse.
