NRA Instructor Personal Protection in The Home (IPPITH) Course

Prerequisite:


Completed the NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) Course (BIT is Part 1)
Must hold a current NRA Pistol Instructor Rating
Pass the Pre-Course Qualification

FSC Instructor Course

This is scheduled for three hours of class room and does not require any shooting.

Course covers:

    Safe Handling and Storage
    Ammunition and Storage
    Firearm Manipulation
    Handgun Malfunctions
    Firearm Care and Maintenance

To pass this course you will be required to perform the Safe Handling Demonstration with at least the three conventional handgun types and five long guns.

To finalize your application you must have a COE Number (Certificate of Eligibility) Which means you must be Live Scanned for a background check. If you don't already have a COE, we can provide this service. The cost of getting a COE is $89.00.

Price without COE : $139.00

Price with COE : $228.00

Includes : DOJ application fee and postage. (We will issue you a certificate that is worth framing. Make a copy of the certificate, help you fill out your DOJ application, pay the application fee and mail your completed package.)

Part 2

Prerequisite:

    Completed the NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) Course (BIT is Part 1)
    Must hold a current NRA Range Safety Officer Rating

 (10 Hours) $299

California HSC Instructor Course. Has been replaced with California FSC Instructor Course

If you wish to issue the Handgun Safety Certificate (HSC). You first must be a DOJ (Department of Justice) Certified Instructor.

This course once completed successfully, will qualify you as a California DOJ Certified Instructor.

NOTE: Only Department of Justice (DOJ) Certified Instructors may order the HSC tests, the Handgun Safety Certificates and oversee the handgun safe handling demonstration required by Penal Code section 12071(b)(8)(D).

Range Safety Officer

Develops NRA Certified Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.
