And will be held at: Dobbs Firearm Training (1652 W Texas St, Fairfield, CA 94533, USA)
DIRECTIONS:
Make sure GPS takes you to 1652 West Texas St. in Fairfield NOT a Merganser Dr. address in Suisun City.
Class starts at 9:00 am, but only if everyone is present. Please do not be late.
At approximately 2:00 pm we will drive to a range to complete the shooting portion of the course.
Thank you for registering for the NRA Instructor Led Basics of Pistol Shooting Course. You will learn:
Rules for safe gun handling
Pistol and revolver parts and their function
Ammunition parts and their function
Shooting fundamentals
Range rules
Shooting positions
Cleaning the pistol
Opportunities and training exercises to help you continue to develop your skills
You must pass a written exam and prescribed course of fire to receive the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course certificate of completion.
WHAT TO BRING:
A functionally safe pistol or revolver (You may choose to rent one of our .22 caliber pistols)
50 rounds of ammunition. FACTORY LOADED AMMO ONLY. NO RELOADS (included with gun rental)
Minimum of two magazines for your pistol. (Included with gun rental)
State issued ID. (i.e., California Driver's license)
Food and drink to snack on during class (there will be a short lunch break)
Eye and ear protection, Ball cap, Closed toe shoes, No low-cut shirts, or sandals
Rain gear or cold weather gear as appropriate for the existing weather conditions
A good attitude for learning!
Bring all unloaded firearms into the classroom but leave ammunition out of sight in your locked vehicle.
ALL FIREARMS MUST BE UNLOADED NO AMMUNITION IN THE CLASSROOM
