Greenleaf, Idaho - Making it clear, they are not a gun free zone

With a population of 846, the city doesn’t maintain a police force. When the fiasco of Hurricane Katrina happened in 2005 the city council passed a citywide resolution in 2006 asking that each household acquire a gun and ammunition. The city taking this seriously didn't stop there, they also offer gun safety and hunters safety courses at City Hall for area residents.

These kind of actions are not new. Back in 1982 Kennesaw, Georgia passed a resolution very similar, asking their residents to maintain a firearm in their home.

Conoy Township, Pennsylvania was in the news February 5, 2015 as they installed their Not a Gun-Free Zone signs.

So, it looks to me, I now have a few new options on where to live.

Originally born and raised on a small farm in Northern Illinois. (Shirland, Il)

I still go back there as often as I can and since Illinois passed their CHL (Conceal Handgun License). I do put on Illinois Conceal Carry courses while I'm there visiting.
